Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation the number of persons who have been paid fees paid to connectors under the ConnectIreland initiative, in each year since it was established; the total fees paid; the number of jobs created under the scheme; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe Succeed in Ireland initiative was launched by the Government as part of the 2012 Action Plan for Jobs and is designed to lead to additional job creation. The scheme is delivered on behalf of IDA Ireland by Connect Ireland.
As of 4 July 2016, IDA Ireland has paid fees of €1,774,500 to ConnectIreland.
The number of jobs confirmed as having been created is 453. The annual breakdown is in the following table:
