751. Deputy Jack Chambers asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to provide the name, position and annual salary awarded to his special advisers; to provide details for requests, if any, for an increase above the special advisers' pay cap, as set by the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In response to the Deputy’s question, political staff appointments are in progress and decisions regarding these appointments are imminent.

In accordance with the Ethics legislation, Ethics in Public Office Act 1995 and the Standards in Public Office Act 2001, information relating to staff appointed by me will be laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas upon their appointment.
