Deputy Alan Farrell asked the Minister for Health the action he will take to increase the amount of care provided under the home care package to allow patients, in cases where it is appropriate, to receive treatment in their own homes and to assist in the reduction of the strain on hospital beds; his views on whether such an initiative would increase the efficiency of the health system; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
