1773. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his views on correspondence (details supplied) regarding a bus stop; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25075/16]
Amharc ar fhreagraI wish to advise the Deputy that Section 16 of the Road Traffic Act 2002, which commenced with effect from 1st February 2013, transferred responsibility for the location of bus stops from An Garda Síochána to the relevant Local Authority. Therefore, the issue raised by the Deputy is a matter coming under the remit of Kerry County Council.
