413. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Social Protection the position regarding a carer's allowance application in respect of a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26975/16]
Amharc ar fhreagraCarer’s allowance was awarded to the person concerned on 17 September 2016 and the first payment is due to issue to their nominated bank account on 6 October 2016.
Arrears of allowance due from 28 April 2016 to 5 October will issue shortly.
The person concerned was notified of these details on 17 September 2016.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
