128. Deputy Clare Daly asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the number of District Court judges who sit directly in the county where they practised law; the number who still have law firms in their districts where they practised law; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I have asked my Department to examine records to ascertain whether the information requested by the Deputy is available and, if available, whether it can be compiled and collated in the manner requested and, if it is the case, I will arrange for it to be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as it is to hand.
