48. Deputy Brendan Smith asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality when the next meeting of the EU Home Affairs and Justice Ministers is due to take place; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [40465/16]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Justice and Home Affairs Council met on 8 and 9 of December 2016. An informal meeting of Ministers of Justice and Home Affairs is scheduled to take place on 26 and 27 January, 2017 in Valletta, Malta. This will be the first meeting of the Council under the Maltese Presidency. Following that, the next scheduled meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs Council will take place in Brussels on 23 and 24 March, 2017.
