535. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Social Protection the status of an application for an invalidity pension by a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [41025/16]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe lady referred to has been awarded invalidity pension with effect from the 24 November 2016. Payment will issue to her nominated bank account on 19 January 2017. Any arrears due from 24 November 2016 to 18 January 2017 (less any overlapping social welfare payment and/or outstanding overpayment) will issue in due course. The lady in question was notified of this decision on the 13 January 2017.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
