754. Deputy Fiona O'Loughlin asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the way in which established community groups can acquire capital funds to buy accommodation; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [41109/16]

It is not the practice of my Department, generally speaking, to provide capital funding to community groups to acquire accommodation. In many cases, such groups might be best advised to discuss their accommodation needs with their local authority. However, if the Deputy has a particular case in mind and wishes to forward additional information to me, I would be glad to look further into the matter.
