196. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Social Protection the status of an application for an invalidity pension for a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5230/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe lady referred to has been awarded invalidity pension with effect from the 13 October 2016. Payment will issue to her nominated bank account on the 16 February 2017. Any arrears due from 13 October 2016 to 15 February 2017 (less any overlapping social welfare payment and/or outstanding overpayment) will issue in due course. The lady in question was notified of this decision on the 31 January 2017.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
