Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs if she or any Minister of State in her Department uses a personal e-mail account for work purposes; the security controls in place relating to the use of personal e-mail accounts for Department related business; if her Department has a policy on this matter; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I conduct official business through my official Department of Children and Youth Affairs secure email account. The Department has an information and communication technology acceptable usage policy. This policy does not permit access to webmail services from its network.
