319. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection when a jobseeker's allowance will be paid in the case of a person (details supplied) who has submitted all required documentation and is still awaiting a decision; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5837/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraAn application for a jobseeker’s allowance from the person concerned was disallowed as his means could not be determined due to outstanding documentation. The person concerned appealed the decision to the Social Welfare Appeals Office. As part of the process the application was reviewed within the Intreo Centre and the original decision was upheld. The application papers and report will now be submitted by the Intreo Centre to the Social Welfare Appeals Office.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
