226. Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine further to Parliamentary Question No. 610 of 5 July 2016, and the variables used to calculate such figures, the detail of the approximate additional annual increase in funding needed for the farm assist scheme to attain compensation set at a maximum level of €200 in scenarios (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. I understand that the Deputy's question refers to the Beef Data and Genomics Programme (BDGP) and not the Farm Assist Scheme. In the case of the BDGP, this information is not readily available as it will need to be updated to take account of recent changes in scheme participation. It is currently being compiled and will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as it is available.
