571. Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the total number of applicants per country to the new sheep welfare scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6907/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraApproximately 22,000 applications were received under the new Sheep Welfare Scheme at the extended closing date of 3 February. Officials in my Department are currently processing these applications. The information requested will not be available until after all applications have been processed. Once the information is available, it will be forwarded directly to the Deputy.
