Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government if a certain property (details supplied) in County Cork is being acquired for the purpose of providing housing or any other form of accommodation; if he will provide relevant details; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Cork County Council are in the process of engaging external advice to undertake an initial feasibility study in conjunction with my Department to ascertain the suitability or otherwise of this property for acquisition for social housing purposes. The matter will be considered further in light of the outcome of the feasibility study.
