535. Deputy Jan O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Health if the HSE will allocate additional money to University Hospital Limerick in order that the new emergency department can open in May 2017; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9653/17]

The opening of the new emergency department at University Hospital Limerick has been identified as a priority in the HSE's National Service Plan 2017. To this end, an additional €1.4m has been allocated to facilitate its opening later this year.
