844. Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Taoiseach and Minister for Defence if his attention has been drawn to other branches of the Defence Forces reviewing their risk assessment protocols for personnel handling hazardous materials, in view of the seriousness of health and safety standards at Casement Aerodrome. I recently wrote to the Chief of Staff in relation to the issue of health and safety in the Air Corps wherein I requested an appraisal on this issue in so far as the wider Defence Forces organisation is concerned.
