Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the status of an appeal from a group (details supplied) regarding the appointment of a planner to the commonage; when he expects the appeal to be finalised; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraA Commonage Advisor was assigned to prepare Commonage Management Plans for these two commonages in Donegal. A second advisor had also applied and was unsuccessful and appealed against the decision of the Department. Both advisors were notified in writing on 13 January 2017 that the matter has been referred to the Independent Commonage Implementation Committee for consideration. The recommendation of the Committee is expected to issue in the coming weeks.
