501. Deputy Alan Kelly asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine his views on the greyhound industry uniting as was requested by the Minister of State with responsibility for food, forestry and horticulture at the last forum. [15367/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am confident that the greyhound industry has growth potential with sporting, leisure, tourism and cultural appeal across a wide national demographic. However, in order for the industry to realise its full potential it is imperative that all stakeholders work together towards this common goal and maximise the contribution of the sector to the Irish economy and to the social and cultural fabric of this country. It is my strong belief that the National Greyhound Consultative Forum is the vehicle through which this should happen.
