Amharc ar fhreagraThe Civil Registration Service is operated by the Health Service Executive on behalf of the General Register Office under the aegis of the Department of Social Protection. The cost of this service is met from within the HSE's budget, with some income generated through registration fees and the issuing of certificates for life events. A marriage notification fee has been in place since the enactment of the Civil Registration Act, 2004.
