511. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he will address a matter (details supplied) with regard to the criteria for the €10 sheep scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23153/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraUnder the Terms and Conditions of the Sheep Welfare Scheme participants must maintain the requisite number of breeding ewes throughout the scheme year in line with their Reference Number or most recent Sheep Census number, whichever is the lesser. In keeping with this position, the person named can use his own hoggets to replace his dry ewes in order to maintain his reference number.
