Catherine Murphy

Ceist:

279. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment if his attention has been drawn to the practice by a company (details supplied) that profiles members of the public, including minors, without their consent or an option of opting into its practice; his views on the fact that the information gleaned on minors may be passed on to other third parties; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment has no function in relation to this matter, which is one for the Data Protection Commissioner, who is independent in the performance of her functions. The question also requests an interpretation of the law.
