810. Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the provisions in place for an appointed protected disclosures contact person in the Prison Service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27979/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Irish Prison Service Protected Disclosures Policy was approved on 31 March 2015. The policy outlines that a worker can make a protected disclosure directly to the Head of Internal Audit in the Department of Justice and Equality. The Irish Prison Service Policy is due for review this year and all aspects of the policy will be considered in the light of learnings over the past two years.
