67. Deputy Peter Burke asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the stage the sports capital grants adjudication process is at; when they will be announced; the total budget for 2017; if the allocation will be on a county basis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29976/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraAll of the 2,320 applications received under the 2017 Sports Capital Programme (SCP) are currently being assessed by officials in my Department. A total of €30m has been provided for the scheme. Given the number of applications received and the detailed information submitted, it will take a further number of weeks to complete the assessment process. I expect that an announcement regarding allocations will be made in September.
