464. Deputy Ruth Coppinger asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if he will revise his position not to have a public inquiry with regard to the Jobstown prosecution and the concerns raised regarding evidence of members of An Garda Síochána (details supplied). [35273/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Deputy will appreciate that any internal review being conducted by An Garda Síochána in relation to this case is entirely a matter for the Garda Commissioner and her management team and I, as Minister, have no role in this regard. I must inform the Deputy that for the reasons already set out in my response to her in Parliamentary Question No. 68 of 12 July 2017, I remain of the view that there is no reason to establish any form of public inquiry into this matter.
