913. Deputy Thomas Pringle asked the Minister for Health his plans to introduce a soft opt-out model of organ donation; if this will require legislation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [35740/17]

The Government approved the preparation of the General Scheme and Heads of a Human Tissue Bill on 11 July 2017. This Bill will include proposals for the introduction of an opt-out system for organ donation.
