622. Deputy Niamh Smyth asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the investment his Department has made in Garda infrastructure, personnel, Garda equipment, cars and so on, since March 2016 in the Cavan, Monaghan and Meath areas, by station, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy will be aware that the Garda Commissioner is responsible for the allocation of Garda resources in the State and I, as Minister, have no role in relation to the matter.

I have asked the Garda Commissioner for the specific information requested and when it is to hand I will inform the Deputy accordingly.
