Deputy Michael Fitzmaurice asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he will put in place a grant package for fencing materials further to the announcement that farmers are required to have lands fenced off at locations in which cattle are drinking at rivers by 2021; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe current proposals are part of the Experts Review Group's recommendations for amendments to the current Nitrates regulations. These regulations will not be finalised until the end of the year following a period of public consultation, appropriate assessment and finally negotiation with the European Commission. I will await the outcome of this process before considering next steps.
