Deputy Willie O'Dea asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the number of social welfare payments in which a qualified child increase payment is also paid in respect of children in the household; the number of children to whom this payment is paid; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraAt the end of July there were a total of almost 2 million recipients of a payment from my Department benefitting over 1.7 million children. A detailed breakdown by scheme (where available) is attached for the Deputy’s information.
