693. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection if a person (details supplied) can make a late application for a fuel allowance; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [42225/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe gentleman in question is in receipt of Invalidity Pension and is in receipt of fuel allowance under the national fuel scheme from 14 October 2010. His preferred payment option has been changed from weekly to two instalment payments as requested by him with the first instalment issuing to his nominated bank account on 5 October 2017. The gentleman concerned was notified on 29 September 2017 of the change in his fuel allowance payments.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
