559. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection if a lump sum for fuel allowance will issue in the case of a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [43441/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe person concerned is currently in receipt of Fuel Allowance and is receiving this payment on a weekly basis. It is not possible to issue a lump sum fuel payment for the current period as applications have now closed, however the person concerned can complete the Fuel Allowance lump sum form before December 2017 in order to receive the second Fuel Lump sum in January 2018.
I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
