226. Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of persons in the REPS scheme at its peak under the rural development programme. [45613/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe number of participants in REPS in 2005 was close to 47,500. Numbers peaked in 2006 with just over 59,000 farmers in the scheme. This reduced to just over 54,000 in 2007 and under 47,000 in 2008.
