113. Refurbishment of glasshouses is an objective of the Office of Public Works. However, bearing in mind the limited capital funding available and the necessity to prioritise expenditure of that funding, it is unlikely that the multi-million euro works will proceed in the short term. The Commissioners are open to proposals from the private sector and will be exploring options in this regard. In the meantime, research on and scoping of the necessary restoration works will be continuing.
