441. Deputy Pat Deering asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine when a decision will be made on an appeal by the agriculture appeals office for a person (detailed supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [48923/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe independent Agriculture Appeals Office has confirmed that, in December 2016, a review of the Appeals Officer's decision was requested. Such reviews must be undertaken to determine if there was an error in the Appeals Officer's decision and require a detailed assessment of the case in full compliance with the legal requirements. A number of requests for review of appeal decisions were received prior to the request concerned. Cases are generally dealt with in order of receipt. Every effort is being made to complete the review of the case concerned.
