Deputy Eoin Ó Broin asked the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government if his Department or local authorities have discretion to offer private developers more than a 10% deposit in advance of the purchase of turnkey developments for social housing; if deposits of above 10% have ever been sanctioned by his Department to facilitate the progress of such turnkey developments; and if he has given consideration to allowing the use of such discretion with respect to a specific development in a location (details supplied) in County Kerry.
