1437. Deputy Thomas P. Broughan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the way in which data on serious injuries from road traffic collisions is being collected and collated; the number of persons presenting to hospitals around the country with serious injuries due to road traffic collisions in each of the years 2015, 2016 and 2017; and if he will make a statement on the matter. This is a matter for the Road Safety Authority. I have referred the question to the Authority for direct reply. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response is not received within 10 days.
