591. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection when an exceptional needs payment will issue in the case of a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [3011/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraAn application for an Exceptional Needs Payment (ENP) was received from the person concerned and has been processed by the Designated Person. A letter, outlining the decision of the Designated Person to refuse the application for an ENP and the basis for that decision, has issued to the person concerned. They have also been advised of their right to an independent review of the decision made by the Designated Person.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
