86. Deputy Mick Barry asked the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government the reason for the delay in the publication of the figures for homelessness for February 2018; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9703/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraOfficial homeless reports are published on my Department's website on a monthly basis. These reports capture details of individuals utilising State-funded emergency accommodation arrangements, that are overseen by housing authorities. The reports are based on data provided to my Department by housing authorities and are published as soon as possible each month, following their analysis and verification.
As such, the reports are usually published in the month subsequent to that for which the data was gathered and this will continue to be the practice in 2018.
