294. Deputy Eamon Scanlon asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the status of a young farmer capital investment scheme application by persons (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14553/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe above named applied for grant aid under the Young Farmer’s Capital Investment Scheme of TAMS II on 22 February 2018. This application was rejected on 26 March 2018 as applications from Joint Ventures are not allowed under the Young Farmers Capital Investment Scheme (except in the case where ALL members of venture are qualifying young farmers). In order for other joint ventures to be eligible for Young Farmers Capital Investment Scheme a Department Registered Farm Partnership must also be in place at date of application. It is open to the applicants to apply for grant aid under the other schemes of TAMS II, or to form a Registered Farm Partnership and reapply under the Young Farmer's Capital Investment Scheme.
