Ceisteanna (331)

Róisín Shortall

Ceist:

331. Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Health the protocols for transporting patients between two facilities (details supplied); if it is standard practice for residents in this rehabilitation facility to have to cover the cost of specialised transport, for example, wheelchair accessible taxis to and from hospital follow-up appointments when the person is an inpatient receiving rehabilitative treatment; his views on whether it is acceptable for patients such as this to have to cover these transport costs; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
