384. Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Health the status of efforts being made to secure a permanent second consultant breast surgeon post at Letterkenny University Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22239/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am advised by the HSE that the second breast surgeon post in Letterkenny University Hospital is currently a locum post.
The requirements of the Symptomatic Breast Disease in Letterkenny are being assessed with a view to putting arrangements in place to meet the future requirements of the service.
