558. Deputy Mattie McGrath asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection if personnel in her Department have been removed from their position, have been transferred to another role or had their employment terminated in the past four years due to breaches of departmental standards or professional misconduct or incompetence; and if she will make a statement on the matter. In the four year period from 1st June 2014 to 31st May 2018, thirteen (13) staff members of my Department had their employment terminated as a result of serious misconduct in breach of the Civil Service Code of Standards and Behaviour. In addition, one other staff member was transferred to another role during this period due to misconduct in breach of the Civil Service Code of Standards and Behaviour.
