703. Deputy Timmy Dooley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the licensed hauliers who are approved to transport poultry litter; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30064/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe transportation of animal by-products (ABP) including poultry litter is governed by the EU Animal By-Product Regulation (EC) No. 1069 of 2009 and Regulation (EU) No. 142 of 2011 which are given legal effect by The European Communities (Animal By-Product) Regulations 2014 (SI No. 187/2014). The list of hauliers registered in accordance with these regulations can be found on my Department's website at the link below:

In addition to the general conditions that a haulier is required to meet, poultry litter hauliers are issued with a specific guidelines titled "Legal obligations and good practice guidelines for poultry litter hauliers".
