115. Deputy Micheál Martin asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade the number and name of the groups he met each month to date in 2018 that fall under the Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [33711/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraUnder the Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015, persons who meet the lobbyist criteria and who communicate with Designated Public Officials have obligations to submit returns of lobbying activity. Designated Public Officials have no obligations in this regard and are not subject to rules regarding the reporting of lobbying. The Deputy may wish to consult the publicly available Lobbying Register for details of all relevant lobbying activity registered from 1 January to 30 April 2018. By 21 September the online register should be updated to include returns for the period 1 May - 31 August 2018.
