2167. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport further to Parliamentary Question No. 797 of 10 July 2018, the number of private vehicles that are ten years of age and older that have passed the national car test in the past three years; the number of private vehicles that are ten years of age and older that have failed the national car test in the past three years and required a full retest or visual retest; the number that failed outright; and if he will make a statement on the matter. This is a matter for the Road Safety Authority. I have referred the question to the Authority for direct reply. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response is not received within 10 days.
