138. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the extent to which opportunities for niche tourism are being explored; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [38023/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraThere are many and varied niche areas of tourism that attract visitors to Ireland and which I believe offer great potential for further development and growth. Fáilte Ireland is tasked with developing the industry generally, including these niche areas. Accordingly, I have asked the agency to reply directly to the Deputy with further information on some of the best prospect niche areas.
