Amharc ar fhreagraThe Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) propose to extend their service for Hereditary Haemochromatosis patients from October through mobile clinics in counties Limerick, Clare, Tipperary and Kerry. It is hoped that this service will be expanded incrementally to other parts of the country.
Hereditary Haemochromatosis patients who attend these mobile IBTS clinics will have their eligibility to donate blood assessed. If they are eligible to be a donor, the IBTS will provide a phlebotomy service for the patient free of charge.
