As Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport.

The provision of staff training, including disability awareness training, is a matter for individual transport companies, and in this case for Irish Rail.

In light of Irish Rail's responsibilities in this matter, I have referred the Deputy's question to the company for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within 10 working days.

Transport Infrastructure Provision

As Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. The NTA has statutory responsibility for the planning and development of public transport infrastructure in the Greater Dublin Area, including the MetroLink project.

Noting the NTA's responsibility for implementation of public transport in the Greater Dublin Area, I have referred the Deputy's question to the NTA for a more detailed reply. Please contact my private office if you do not receive a reply within 10 days.

The full assessment procedure and marking scheme used for the 2017 Sports Capital Programme is published on my Department's website at http://www.dttas.ie/sites/default/files/publications/sport/english/sports-capital-programme-scoring-system-and-assessment-procedures/assessment-manual-2017-scp.pdf.

The 2018 guide to making an application also includes a section on how the Department will assess applications and this is also published on the Department's website at http://www.dttas.ie/sport/english/sports-capital-programme.

Park and Ride Facilities
