Deputy Willie O'Dea asked the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government when funding will be made available to an association (details supplied) in order that it can commence refurbishments to properties and property purchasing; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has no record of any application for funding by the Housing Association concerned for the property in question. Ordinarily, a housing proposal from an approved housing body is directed to the relevant local authority in the first place, rather than to my Department.
