275. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the status of a domiciliary care appeal by a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [46330/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraAn application for domiciliary care allowance was received from the person concerned on the 30th July 2018. Additional information, which was requested by the Deciding Officer in support of the claim, was received on the 31st October 2018 and referred to the Department's Medical Assessor for their medical opinion. When this opinion is received, the application will be further examined by a Deciding Officer, who will make a decision on the claim and notify the person concerned of the outcome.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
